Brian Roseman

A life-long resident of the Cleveland Ohio area, a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art (class of 1998), I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Photography. Art has pretty much always been a part of my life in some way or another. I used to doodle little things when I probably should have been paying attention in classes during school. I started playing guitar by teaching myself when I was 16. Even if I'm not creating anything for the world to view or listen too, it's there. In the back of my mind. Fermenting, until it's ready... I'm interested in pretty much all forms of Art. My BFA thesis incorporated three different facets (words, music, visuals) in order to help show the interconnectedness of reality, thought and emotion and how change effects all. I think in some way, that thread of universality and understanding is a part of all my artwork.

My world (visual-art wise) is pretty much split into two realms. One, the commercial side (applied art, as we called it at CIA), and two, the personal side (fine art). This site is about the latter. Most of these pieces have only been seen by a handful of special people, and they're here on display for the first time. My 'applied art' is what I do professionally for clients, my 'fine art' is for me, expressions of emotion and thought that I'm trying to catch and express in one way or another. Most of the pieces on this site are not for sale. Photos and a select few other things are. If you're interested in purchasing anything, or a having me create a custom commissioned piece (like "Roses" - see paintings) for you, please feel free to contact me to discuss. Thank you for visiting!
